Heartbeat of a Chevy....will it work?

OK, this isn't really 67-72 related, BUT it is Chevy related and you guys seem to really know your stuff.

Interesting recipe

#1 I have a 90 Suburban that's body is slowly rotting away
#2 I have alwasy wanted a Jeep Scrambler
#3 aftermarket replacement jeep frames and bodies are available

Jeep scramblers are getting popular and they were not many made. Having always wanted a SB chevy powered one I am pondering building one from the frame up using an aftermarket frame, fiberglass body and the drive train from my 90 suburban.

There are alot of adapter kits for installing sb chevy engines in these trucks so I don't see that being a problem. One of my concerns is the axle width of the Suburban vs Scrambler.

I can't find these measurements and was hoping somone here might know if this would work.

Also I was wondering if anybody knew how this would be titled afterwards?

Any ideas, thoughts?

Thanks

M.G.
