Newbee with a couple of questions

I just got a 2WD '70 GMC Sierra Grande. It's in really good condition. It will be a long term project and daily driver. Here's my questions.

Is there some way to get more leg room with a different seat or removing the fuel tank behind the seat? The truck has saddle tanks, but I don't think they have a gauge.

I'd like to lower the front end just a little (maybe 2") then level the truck out. Does someone make a kit? I don't want to ruin the ride.

Thanks in advance.
