Rough and Tumble... Lucy. 68 GMC
Out of necessity, I picked up a 68 GMC truck a few days ago.
It's got a 292 six banger, 4 speed, and some rust, etc. Also found a build sheet in great condition, as well as the POP plate, and manuals, in the glovebox. I'm anticipating just keeping Lucy for the next month or few until my daily driver is out of the body shop (deer trauma) and/or until my 56 F100 is drive-able. Lucy was found locally, on a farm. She's had a rough life of pulling farm equipment, and feeding cows. My wife named the truck Lucy. I've never named any of my other cars, (except for yelling the occasional (you PIECE OF S%^T!) But my wife is in love with the bizarre combination of butter yellow paint, and green/teal interior. She says it reminds her of old fashion, ie, Lucille Ball. Here she is, as soon as I got her home; She is still sporting the headache rack, a thick layer of dirt/cobwebs, and some craptastic wheels. thanks, Mike |
