Bumpers back from plating...before and after
I'm really pleased with the new chrome on the old OEM bumpers. The front bumper was pretty well warped when I sent it out and it returned arrow straight. The bolt holes that were rounded are now repaired and square. These went to an electroplating company in El Paso as NM no longer has any businesses redoing chrome. $400 and some change for the work.
I wanted to chrome an OEM rear step bumper but the company won't accept them. Apparently, the irregularity of the diamond plate won't allow for adequate surface prep leading to poor plating. Getting the K20 built one piece at a time. Happy Thanksgiving.
