a/c heater help!

Sorry to ask this but i dont understand how to do what im wanting to do here. I have a 72 swb that i am re doing and kind of making a hot rod out of, it has factory ac and heat but i would like to know how to or if its possible to get rid of the huge ac box on the fire wall to make it look cleaner. All i would like to use is the heater for winter time but i would like to get rid of the big black box on the fire wall. Is this possible or am i going to have to keep the big box up there. Any info would be great
