Question Why Would Someone Do This??

OK, I need you sleuths to help me on this one.

Here's the SPID of my Cheyenne.

What benefit is there to cutting off the top of the SPID? Judging by the appearance of the glove box door, this appears to be original to the truck. The color and amount of fade are identical. It has the options that the SPID calls for - the ones that are missing are items like the AM radio, bench seat, full wheel covers and tailgate.

The seller did say the truck was a Super, and I know it's not, but why add the faded Super emblems and remove the top part of the SPID?

Here's the only thing on the truck that was done to pass it off as a Super:

What am I missing here?
