front clip/crossmember info please

Please help me understand what I will need to change on my 64 suburban to use the current setup off a friends 69.

Mine is all stock and he has already done the disc brakes, drop spindles, a-arms flattened with air bag cups and all. I want to put air bags on mine and notch the back. He is totally redoing his truck and going 5 lug. I want to keep 6 lug and his current setup seems like it will fit my needs perfectly.

The question is how or what all do I need to swap onto mine? He is going to cut the frame near the firewall since he is redoing all of his but can I just change out the crossmember and be good? This is my first run at doing this and looking for a little insight from the pros!
