Question Whats a good seam sealer...

Hey guys. I'm working on the cab of my 71 and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good seam sealer for the top and drip rails. I've read about the self leveling types. How exactly do these work? Are these sandable? Should i prime/paint(seal) before applying? The reason i ask is because i probly wont be painting the cab until spring...thanks in advance!
