Oil dipstick tube question.

I picked up a new Oil dipstick tube from GM dealership today.
The old one was broken at the at the small bracket that holds it in place.
My question is: Do I need a rubber grommet or O' Ring where it slides into the block? It has a lot of play "wiggle" and The reason for replacing old one is because oil has been spewing out from where it inserts into block!

The old one didnt have any O ring when removed and New one didnt come with one
