'75-'79 Nova subframe

I know a lot of guys say this subframe is too wide for an AD truck (47-54), but I know of at least one guy that is running one without any problems. Is there any stock wheels with the correct offset that can be used, or has anyone narrowed one? The reason I ask is because I have two of them I got for free. One was an old concourse, and the other a plain jane nova. I read that this sub is the same as the '75-'81 Camaro, so examples using that could work too. I really don't want to buy any narrow control arms or anything. Just using what I have and trying to keep the money in my pocket.
