I'm doing a valve job on my '70 350 stepper. Thought I'd R & R the front mounts while I'm in there. FYI - I didn't put this thing together, bought it this way. SPID says factory 350 so I'm think factory mounts.(ANCHOR # 2282) Nope, don't begin to fit.
see pic. After some digging, found that the mounts for late '80's/early '90's GM are what I needed. (ANCHOR # 2637). What's going on here? Is this a doable setup for my '70, or has some "swapping" been done? As I look, it appears the crossmember is welded in ???? Keep in mind, the tierods and ball joints are still '70 stuff. I added dropped disk spindles a year ago and everything went together. Any thoughts?
