Converting a 4x4 trans to 4x2
I have a chance to get a 2000 GMC 1500 4wd with a 5.3 and 4L60 trans for a really good deal. The frame is bent and the owner just wants it gone.
My question is what is involved with converting the trans to 2wd? OR would I be better off finding a 2wd trans and selling this one with the transfer case? THis will be my first swap to a 5.3 into my son's 82 we are building....
