I have looked at quite a few threads on this subject but none are quite as simple as my project (I hope).
I am going to swap the running gear in a 79 K10 SWB for the running gear from a 78 C10 SWB.
I think that it should be a pretty simple swap, the only difference might be some of the mounting holes and brackets for the front suspension. The good thing for me is that both trucks are complete.
Has anyone done a similar swap, if so did you run into any problems?

The 78 was in a wreck and has some rust on the body and needs paint.
The 79 has high miles but almost no rust and overall really clean and original paint is in great condition.
