72 K10 Daily Driver!

well i retired my 92 cummins and picked up this 1972 K10. it is ALL ORIGINAL except for the interior, wheels, tires, and grille. even the plugs and wires were original. $1500 and i drove it the 60 miles home at 70 mph and got 7.5 mpg. dynamat under the carpet and that is very nice. plan to do a few modernization upgrades to make it a better driver and see where that takes me. typical tune up material, plugs wires, pertronix, cap, rotor, thermostat, hoses, p/s pump, battery cables, air filter, battery, carb rebuild, oil change, fuel filter, tach, headlights, and i have a squeak coming from the front passanger when the hubs are locked so will have to investigate that...anyway here are the pics
