brake caliper rant

if you are buying remanufactured brake calipers and your old banjo bolt is to small in diameter to bolt your brake line to the caliper you will probably need to get a banjo bolt from a 71-76 gm fullsize car.

i purchased 2 sets of remaned callipers from different auto parts stores and spent 4 days trying to find the correct banjo bolts to fit when i finally called my friend who collects 71-76 gm cars and asked him what size banjo bolts they had and by golly answered my 4 day question with a 2 second phone call.

the bolt i ended up using was a 2" 7/16"x 20

also the banjo ends on the new brake hoses are thicker than the stock ones thus giving you less evposed threads on the bolt.

ill tell you i could have choked someone but its the remanufactures fault not the parts stores.
