Build-a-blazer?
So I kind of searched this, but not really. I will go ahead and apologize if this topic has been beaten to death, however, what are yalls thoughts about taking a 67-72 Chevy fleet side pick up and cutting the top, and rear of the cab off to make a blazer?
I work too much to do anything about this in the near future but I am the proud owner of a 1968 Chevy c20, a fleet side pickup bed trailer, and a 1988 Chevy blazer. The 1973-1991 blazers have like a 2.5 inch longer wheelbase than the 69-72s. Instead of finding a 69-72 blazer tub, and then having to deal with the rear tires being too far back, I was thinking about building a blazer out of the truck I have. Maybe cut the roof, and back of the cab off of my 68, cut the front of the bed off and weld it together to fit the wheelbase 88 blazer frame. Simple enough right? Has anyone done something like this? Could someone try it, and tell me how it goes? |
