To pound or to cut, that is the question....

Setup:
65 Sub
Porterbuilt dropmember front
454

The porterbuilt setup raises the motor a bit to clear the rack etc and low and behold I am having some fitment issues.

Both the valve covers and dist cap are going to hit the firewall. The motor is set in but cannot get the valve covers nor cap on. The dist cap cannot get past the lip right below the hood.

The burb will end up going to the body shop soon, so from a do it right stand point should I just pound it out for clearance and then have them smooth it out, or cut it out and have them fill it with some custom sheetmetal work?
