1ton, motor 1 was a 283, motor 4 (the one in the pic) is just what warren says it is, Motor 2 or 3 could have been a 396. When you talk to the original owner, hopefully he can tell you.
One thing for sure, you guys are going to have a blast working on your truck. I love the 1ton's, and yours is very cool. Can't wait to see it as you guys progress.

Your cab corners have been replaced. Who ever did the job, did a good job, so maybe you can find them again.
