Gas Tank Replacement

When looking for a new in cab tank I usuall see something like with EEC or Without EEC. I may have the initials wrong but I hope I am close.
I have a 68 Chevy C10 Stepside with a 327 in it. What is the difference in the EEC and I think it is a vent tube. My current tank doesn't have a vent tube.
Should I buy one with or without or does it matter ?

Thanks You guys have been real helpful !
