Mike and Jeff, how 'bout some updates...

Mike - So you bought the 79 and then never said anything about it. Have you had to do anything to it? Are you ever going to post some engine and interior pics? Inquiring minds want to know!

Jeff - How about your Blazer. At first you said you were going to drive it for a while and then sell it. Have you fallen in love with it or not? Have you had to do anything to it?

You guys are probably going to raz me for info on MY projects too so I'll give it in advance.

I'm still working on bodywork and painting the stepside bed for my 87 and right now have the rear diff torn down to parade rest. (Amazing how much quicker it went than the 12 bolt in my 84. I did in 2 hours what took me two weeks in that one. It's nice to have some experience and the tools I made / bought for the last one...)

I recently dropped one of the gas tanks on my 84 that had a clogged pickup sock and rebuilt the carb. It's like a different truck being able to use both tanks again and the carb rebuild gained me about 4 mpg. (Up to 15 again!)

I haven't done much to my Gentleman Jim or the Indy Hauler but both need engine work and front suspension rebuilds before I start making them look good. I have gained more parts for them though...

I have also spent some time making my 83 Dually reliable. I replaced the water pump, radiator, belts and hoses, fixed the A/C, and generally just cleaned it up. My uncle just drove it 5000 miles to Michigan and back to pick up a 79 Firebird Formula 400 4 speed and had no problems. It made 9 mpg with the truck, trailer, car, an extra olds 403 and 4 new Wurlitzer Jukeboxes so I guess I won't complain.

Give us an update!
