INFO 1st actual dually pickup

Hey y'all , I'm new to this and not good at all with a computer so please bear with me. In researching info re: the earliest duallys' I ran across this site and what I have learned is that my Father was correct - he built the first one and still has it , although I intend to bring home with me some time this summerto begin restoration. It is a 1964 3/4 chevrolet with a 292 and 4 spd granny that we used to pull trailers with 5 ton machines in our harvesting business from McAllen, Texas to Alabama, N.Y. and back. He had to get wheels from a GMC 1-ton and have the centers turned out to go on the 3/4 rear as chevy didn't have any thing that would fit. He then had Valley welding in Mission put on fenders from a '55 dodge pickup on the sides to cover the extra width. I have photos of it in it's cuurent condition , although I am trying to talk him iinto finding some old photos of the early days. If I can get some one here to assist me I will post the photos also, so keep watch if you're interested. Thanks T.R. Schmigel
