Compressor Options

I have a 33Gal 3hp (IIRC) oilless craftsman unit now, but it won't quite keep up with my tools. I am looking at the ~$400 30 Gallon oiled units from husky or IR with a bit more power to replace it with since I am not wired for 220v in the garage.

I am wondering are there better options out there, or can I get a small compressor and daisy chain two together to keep up with the air tools (Air file/sander, DA sander, cutoff wheel, and eventually HVLP gun when I shoot the paint).
