Re: Made an "un-popular" decision with my 307!
Well, sometimes things happen that just blow your mind! Just got off the phone with the machine shop that i will be dropping my block off on friday. He is going to test the block, the pistons and the cam and let me know..
Then he tells me that he has a COMPLETE 307 with everything setting there that he will GIVE me, and even load it in my truck for me!. It was dropped off by a forum member here who was building a new motor to put in his truck... This is the best news i can think of. Now I can actually build a full 307 from top to bottom, and it literally cut my expenses in over half!!! I dont know the shape that the complete 307 is in, but he said it comes with manifold and heads etc..... I will at least be able to use A LOT of it for parts. And i will be able to learn so much as i tear it down. Wont mention the forum members name unless he wants me to. But I am giving a BIG thank you to him and Geoff at Jackson Head Service!!!!!! |
