Dual-wheel conversion of longhorn?

I stumbled across this thread of an "inboard duallie", for lack of a more official name, and was very intrigued. Other than wheel tubs, it looks like a fairly reversible change, too.

Since I'm not very familar with HD trucks, I'm wondering if this is possible on a standard C20 longhorn (which I guess has C30 rails). Is there actually room to have completely inboard duallies like this on a truck that didn't start life that way?

I always assumed that factory dualies had to run the extra wheels outboard due to fitment, but maybe not. Not saying I'm going to run off an do this, but it's certainly cool and different!
