thought Id share my day...

I ran all my wires for my system today. Everything new. (deck wires, power wires, speaker wires, new grounds)
everything was full runs (no splices)
testing along the way...

I had already put down all my sound mat..
and I didn't want to feel any of the wires under the carpet.. so a aluminum taped all the wires down.. (again testing wires all along)

then the carpet went in (glued down)

I get the deck hooked up, I get the 4 channel amp hooked up, got the speakers hooked up.

the 2 channel didn't get hooked up yet so I had the set of RCA going to it then I'm going to use the RCA out to run to the 4 channel. but since I didn't hook up the 2 channel I just connected the two RCAs with female to female barrels.

plugged in the fuse, threw a CD in and only two speakers worked........

I spent about and hour checking all the wires and fuses
with some cussing and throwing things..

I started to worry that something was wrong under the carpet...

I damn near gave up... is the amp bad?

last thing I checked was the barrel connecter I used... one was shot... fell apart when I unplugged it.. swapped it out and everything worked great....

and that was my day....
