How Much work would it take to put a 2000 Gm 6.0 in a 67

So I have the opportunity to get a 2000 Chevy 2500 2 wheel drive, the tranny is shot so they say and it has been sitting for like 3-4 years. Ran when parked.
price wanted is 700 bucks

So here is the question. What would it take to throw that bad boy in my 67 Chevy? Could i do a nice manual tranny in it that's not going to make it feal like a truck. Or is the best bet an auto. I have always liked manuals better though. If some of you guys can chime in that have already done this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help
