Ooooo that smell ...

I finally finished pulling the 3sp OD trans out of my 69 parts truck today. I forgot what a huge hassle it is yanking greasy old stuff out of a truck when you are laying on a dirt, gravel, hay and a bird poop encrusted floor lol.

Like a dope I pulled the rear drive line, and the front one. Should have left the front one in, because the trans was dripping a little out of the tail shaft. Well I wasn't paying attention and the drip became a stream. I was dragging my large body around on my back and was trying to get a little leverage on a wrench and I turned the left side of my head directly under the tranny oil stream. Ugh, what a mess and boy does that stuff stink.

Hopped in the shower when I got home, and did the rinse lather repeat with the ol shampoo three times and I can still smell that stuff, blech.

Someone tell me why we work on old trucks again???
