Hi from WA

Hey my name's Eric, currently in WA at Ft. Lewis. Just picked up a 68 GMC C20. It's my first rig that's 67-72. I've always had 80s pickups or K5s. I needed a pick up, and wanted something a little different.

Has a 305 V6 with a 4spd (dunno which one yet, SM465?) it's completely covered in gunk and I have no idea where the tag is. Completely stock. I plan on keeping the V6, it's part of what attracted me to the truck. It'll be a DD with occasional towing.

Body's in pretty good shape, two cancer spots. In the near future I plan on doing a rustoleum job on it, and rebuilding the Stromberg WW. I may do the Holley 500 and ignition upgrades. I'll be keeping near the same color in paint, whatever blue I can find closest in Rustoleum.

I heard the 3 part seat I have is a little rare? I have no idea, but I need to do something about it. I'm not a purest per say, as far as those things go. So I thought of putting a nice set of buckets to match the style of the truck, and a nice giant center console. Not sure, I didn't even find out the middle seat raised and there was a storage compartment underneath until last night.

And just for a laugh, when I bought the truck, my buddy told me about it, but didn't pay him any mind. I came to a stop sign and felt/heard that gas tank slosh around behind me and was freaking out for a bit until I realized what it was.

Anyway, pretty excited about the truck, been perusing the site for a week or so, like it so far
