Mr. Reliable
Ok, I just recently traded my 99 Subaru DD for a 70 GMC with a 350, factory air, and a TH350.
Did a bunch of routine stuff and tracked down some electrical issues, and most important, added a new fuel cap which took care of the gas smell inside the cab. Added a manual choke cable as the PO didn't have it hooked up. Luckily for me, he did add an internal regulated alternator, and HEI dist. I've got the trim pieces that finish off the front. I also added new grounds to the stock locations, but used pieces of audio cable I left over. 4 gauge grounds aren't overkill, are they? My plans are just to make it a reliable DD and maybe lower it a bit. Nothing crazy, but something fun. Not the original color... Bad Compressor that I will need to replace Parts time! Original ground and hot leads? Motor with new air filter. You couldn't see light through the old one. There is an Edlebrock 1405 carb with a Weiand intake manifold on it Glad I have a heated garage to work on it. Hella 500FF driving lights with yellow protective vinyl covers. Not sure if I like the foglight placement. I used the front plate holes. |
