Blowing Smoke Out the PCV Valve Hole

Been trying to get my 66 on the road after sitting for about 10 years or so and I finally got it started last week. I noticed the previous owner had just put some silicone around where the grommet used to be and when I got her started, I noticed quite a bit of smoke and pressure coming out of that hole. What would this indicate? I know the smoke could just be from it sittin a long time and I had added some mystery oil to prime everything but what about the pressure? This is a pic of the truck before I got it but you can see the oil staining on the firewall. Again, the grommet is gone and I'm sure the pcv valve is wasted too. The parts store didn't know which grommet I needed so I'm just going to measure and go back. Thank you.
