Progress

Well, I got a lot of important work done today.

While my buddy Roy finished up some welding, I pulled the trim off the front clip and the doors.

Then, he and I drilled the new cab floor for the high hump bolts, and he welded in the nuts.

Then, we undercoated the center of the cab floor, then primed and painted the firewall and windshield frame.

Next, we lifted the cab up (that tractor of his is VERY useful) and set it on the frame, lined it up, and put on the mounts. Then, we hung the doors.

Next steps are for him to use the door bottoms as a guide to finish the rocher panel installation and for me to finish prep work on the inside of the cab. Next weekend, we'll probably probably be able to paint the interior so that I can begin reassembling it. Almost everything is prepped and sitting in either my shop or his.

For the first time in several months, I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel, and I'm delighted!
