Clutch problem

I have a 1968 chevy 1/2 ton 2wd. I don't drive it that often. A new clutch was put in about 12000 miles ago and was always very stiff. Last summer I noticed it wasn't engaging all the way. I looked at it this spring and noticed the ball stud on the engine side was broke (on the z bracket). I replaced that thinking that was maybe my problem but it is still very hard to push the clutch in. I don't push it down all the way because I am afraid something is going to break. Needless to say I haven't been using my pickup. Any ideas would be great. Thank you.
