Bed installation tips? Need some advice

Hey Gang,

Been off the board for a while. Been driving the '59 Fleetside shortbed for a while. Now it's time to get back to work on it. I need to take the bed off and install new bed wood. I did some searching and didn't find any threads providing any "how tos" on installing the wood. When I got the truck it didn't have any wood in the bed and several of the cross sills were not installed. I'm not even sure what order they go in. I got new sheet metal for the front panel and a new rear cross sill and picked up two new to me bedsides in really nice condition. I had the rear fender wells widened to fit over the bigger tires. I orderd a bedwood kit a year ago and its been sitting in my shop patiently waiting. I guess it's time to get off my rear and put it all together.

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Pointing me to threads that have the info would be great.

TIA, John
