EGR thows a code because...

Hope you didn't think I was gonna give an answer! That's the question.

90 Suburban, 5.7 auto, 4x4. Recently put on a new OEM EGR valve and all was fine. Passed inspection because of it. EGR seems to be functioning as it should.
I've read a bunch of the old posts, but could somebody give me a checklist of what might cause code 32 on what should be/seems to be a good EGR? Thanks!
