Replacing freeze plugs,painting engine area..

On my 74 C10, gonna have all my freeze plugs replaced, and the following gaskets/seals replaced-front main seal and rear seal, valve cover gaskets, rebuild kit for my Edlebrock carb, and since my motor is being pulled out for the freeze plug replacing, its gonna get degreased and painted. The 74's originally had the motors painted reddish orange correct? Was thinking about painting it black since the fenderwels and other areas are already painted black. And as time goes by little by little i will be adding and replacing things and getting them in chrome so they will stand out against the black. But I really like the look of the reddish color on the motor when done right. How about some pics of the motors some of you all have so I can check out how they look in different colors for those of you that have theirs painted.
