The 350$ bagged truck...

Well the other day I was surfing craigslist and ran across an ad on an 84 lwb, bagged, not running 450$.

After numeruous attempts to call the guy, I finally texted him and said I had cash ready to buy; I recieved a response less than 5 minutes later.

When I first went and looked at the truck the body seemed decent, but the bed was junk. The truck wouldnt run and they didnt know why. The guy also said he had an extra lwb bed. cool. we struck a deal and I got it home.

On second inpection, I realized this truck had to of come up north, checked the paperwork and sure enough, it was an oklahoma truck.

It had extremely shoddy bodywork but I have to give them credit, they did a great job of hiding some nasty sheetmetal scars. Expanding foam and bondo seemed to be the only tools used.

The motor seemed to be pretty nice and after some fiddling around for about 10 minutes I realized the timing was off and fixed it, had it running like a top in about 30 minutes.

Now it runs and drives, and has slam specialties airbags, score.

The plan from here on out is to salvage any useable piece for my personal truck, and scrap the rest.

NO this is not a for sale ad, just thought i'd enterain you all with the ups and downs of a 350$ craigslist deal.

heres some pics, tell me what yall think.

Didnt look so bad here...

lots of motor goodies... the A/C looks to be rebuilt and retrofitted to r-134

The extra bed is surprisingly straight

After noticing something was surely amiss, I picked up the trusty bondo detecter, AKA a claw hammer and had some fun knocking around on a bondo bucket

I dont get why it was even fixed in the first place... there was a 1/2 inch of bondo in the bedsides and back of cab.. anyways, enjoy.
