Front spring problem?

I installed the sbc engine in my 55 this past weekend and had a question. A little history on the build, camaro front clip completly rebuilt with new front springs etc. Bare cab sitting on frame, no front clip. Just the bare engine and transmission installed. I measured the top of front frame to floor before installing engine and after and front of frame only dropped 3/8 inch. At this point i still have negative camber on front wheels with no shims. It looks like the front end needs to come down quite a bit to get any camber adjustment. How much can i expect the front end to come down with the weight of front clip, doors, glass etc. installed?
