Wiper problems
Ever since I bought this truck I've had issues with the wiper motor working whenever it feels like it. For a long time I found that if the motor stopped working I could nudge the wiring harness with my foot and it would start working again. A week or so ago it stopped working completely, foot trick no longer works.
I assumed it was a wiring problem but I downloaded a wiring diagram for the truck and ohm'd out every wire associated with the wipers, ignition switch, fuse block, motor, switch, and checked continuity to ground and found absolutely nothing wrong. Checking voltage to the motor it fluctuates wildly in all switch positions. At one point it was reading the fluctuation in the off position but when switched to low or high there was no voltage at all. I am thoroughly confused by this. I've ordered a new motor and thinking seriously about a new switch as well. Unfortunately a previous owner hacked and spliced several sections of the harness (not wipers as far as I can tell) so I really dont know if I'll ever get it working properly. Eventually I might replace the entire harness. I greatly appreciate any and all help, Thanks
