Don't you hate when doing the right thing SUCKS
So, to lay it out first. I am currently having to pay for 2 houses, 400 miles apart, 1 is up for sale, PRAYING the market turns and i can sell it. Paying over 2400 a month in house payments alone can get a person down.... So we have been saving lately and i havent been able to do much if any work on the truck, yet i still use it as a daily driver....
There is so much I want to do to the truck RIGHT NOW..... (yes i am impatient) Everytime i even mention it to the wife i get the meanest look you have ever seen! So I have thought of a plan that she actually likes....IF i stay in budget.... The thought/plan, sell the 72. I know I can get out of it what i need. Maybe not exactly as much as i paid (yes i paid to much) but enough.... After selling the 72, i would find a CLEAN 60-66 model that needs a motor, since i have a brand new .30 over 307 ready to be assembled and that is my wifes dream truck (60-66 stepside). Crazy enough i found 1 in the exact price range i wanted and needs motor work..... So what this all boils down to is, should i do it? Should i sell the 72 and get something both of us would be happy with and i wouldnt want to modify AS MUCH over the next couple of years while we pay everything off? Or should i just keep the 72, keep driving it and wait to do the restorating in a few years? I truly do understand not spending the money right now till we sell the house, but my wife has started us doing the Financial Peace.... And by her schedule, it will be a couple of years before she will allow me the money to spend on the truck!!! My 72 and a 66 i am looking at....... |
