Question adhesive removal???

Need some help here please. I am trying to remove the adhesive residue on my cab left behind after removing a headliner and foam pad and some funky carpet like stuff on the kick panels. I have tried sanding, grinding, paint thinner, mineral spirits, fingernail polish remover, and WD-40. Nothing seems to be taking this stuff off. Anyone got any ideas??? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
