I ended up with this truck about a year and a half ago. One of my friends parents was saying he needed to get this truck out of the shop after he left it from working on it in highschool. It was about 5 minutes away from being crushed when I showed up with a trailer. Since getting the pickup, I have swapped axles, done a power steering, disk brake conversion, and replaced the 230 that had a cracked block. At first, I had the entention of just getting this pickup running so I could use it for a hunting, fishing rig with the flatbed. After just finding a bed this week, the plans have changed. Hopefully in the next few months body work will start as well as rewiring everything. Currently I am in the market for a radiator, Has anyone had any luck with the 2 row aluminum radiators being able to cool a v-8? It is a 350 that was basically thrown together with extra parts I had laying in the shed. Would eventually like to rebuild my 327 or 283 for it, but only as money allows. Would love to get the truck driving so it can be a rolling project. Looking forward to seeking and sharing advice as I continue this project.
