Newbie here, looking for bagged 71 c10 info
Hello all, new to the forum. Been researching for a few days now. just recently purchased a 71 chevy that im lookin to bag. Ive bagged my 95 chevy ext cab 1500. So airbags arent new to me. Also air cylindered. Dodge stratus. Now my questions also include stuff about my truck. Im curious to leanr all i can. I have a long bed, wood bed floor. Now does anyone know where i can get the filler panels for the gas doors on the bed? My truck has 3 gas tanks, all operational. Only have heard of dual tanks. Im planning on taking two out and using the tank thats connected to my cab. I have sum panels i need to change out due to rust. After the rust and body are straight, i will be painting it and doing airbrushing on it. Mite just airbrush a custom looking molding on the sides.
Also my goal on this build is to bag it and get as low as i can without super serious frame surgery. I know ill have to get a big notch. Ive been seeing the trailin arms have 2" lowering blocks(i have trailing arms on mine). Is this a quick lowering fix or mandatory on getting the truck low? Now in the front i want to just lay out the x-member is good enough for me. Can anyone tell me if i can keep my stock a arms if i go that low? I will eventually upgrade to the aftermarket arms. Got more research to do before i choose a company. Will i also need drop spindles? I mite do a stock floor body drop later on. Im not lookin for a fancy setup. Just plain jane that will let me lay out clean and fast. Not worried about the pumpkin hitting the bed. The floor will be sectioned out. Planning on running 20" wheels, probably on 40 series rubbers. Thanks for any help, ideas, info, pics or links! I anyone has pics of thier front bagged setup id be much appreciated if u posted em. Posted via Mobile Device |
