Back to topic. Corvette manifolds won't flow any better than most. Now you have the small tube bottom of the grid quality headers. I know I used to have them. Get headers like these.
They are hooker headers. I found them on Craigslist for 40 dolla

Add your hpipe and you should be set. I daily drive my truck and have only touched the headers a few times. The first was after install and a drive I retightened them afterwords. Then a few times after just to check
