Another dash bezel question

I am trying to replace the dash bezel on my 68. I have removed all the knobs, the speedometer cable, and the fuel cable connection. However, I am having a terrible time removing the oil pressure connection.

I ordered a new copper oil pressure cable http://www.classicparts.com/1947-77-...ctinfo/24-781/ and I am a bit confused on how the cable will stay connected. It seems the nut slides up and down the cable freely. how does the copper cable/pipe stay connected once the nut is screwed into the dash cluster? Do you have to bend the cable after you screw the nut in? Does the nut screw into a smaller opening that applies pressure to the line itself?

Does that make sense?
