oil bath breather restoration? new filter hair available?

I pulled out the horse hair (I think that is what it is) in my oil bath breather so i could have it powdercoated and was wondering if anyone else has ever done this and what did you use in place of it? I did keep the old stuff but it looks fairly dirty and when i removed it the hair broke down into small pieces that the engine may suck up now. is there maby a special foam or replacement hair to make it like new again? Rod.
