Rear brake line

I ordered a set of SS brake lines from Inline tube. They fit really good except the large one that goes to axle soft line, it was about 8" too short. Inline found that they don't have a pattern for that one on a burb and should send mine in.
I can picture myself without a line all summer and wondered if a truck with coils is the same bend/length?
I'd rather avoid using a union to make up the difference until the replacement shows.
