68 (at least cars) has a crossover of part styles. It has a spin on oil filter and an intake filler neck. They also got large journal crankshafts. This engine appears to me to be 67 back. Need to get the casting number off the back to get a better idea. All the tin interchanges, but 67 was also the last year for the script valve covers. in 68 they all got PCV valves in the valve covers.
