For the stepside guys........
I know where I can get a super straight '70 model LWB stepside for really cheap. (no motor). I plan on cutting my frame to mount a short bed. I know I can use the fenders and front/rear end panels, but was wondering if I could cut the bedsides down to make a short bed? What are the dimensions of a short-step bed? I'm mainly wanting the measurements from where the fender mounts on the bedside to the front end panel and the rear end panel (tailgate). Before I go cutting up the bed though, would it be worth keeping the truck together? It's a 3/4 ton, 4 wheel drive, LWB stepside. I've only seen the truck once, and didn't look inside (was more worried about the sheetmetal). Thanks for any tips..............
