Question Radio Recommendations

My radio/CD player shot craps. Put in by the PO, I assume it was the cheapest thing he could get. He enlarge the dash cutout, so I have a 2-1/8 x 7-1/4 hole to fit into. I wasn't happy with it, had to wait for the volume to go up when it came on, and the cd skipped when I went over small bumps.

So, any recommendations that won't kill my budget?
