70 Chevy Van

I picked this thing up a couple months ago and have been messing with it on and off. It's been setting untouched since 99. It's kinda got a cool story, a friend/customer of ours bought it from the original owners back in the early 80's and drove it daily until he got another van in 99. Through the years it's been in our shop from time to time. I actually went to take a look at another vehicle and it was just setting there asking me to buy her, made an offer and two days later she was at her new home! Now for the cool part, the local news paper here at the time had purchased two vans new in 1970, one a v8 and the other a straight six, to deliver papers out of. Well the owner of the news paper at that time was my moms uncle so it made a small circle and has ended back up in the family to stay this time! Sorry for the long read, now on to details. It's the 71 body style but actually a 1970 year model. Still has the 5 on 4 3/4 lug pattern instead of the 5 on 5 like the 71. It's got a 250 straight six and a 3-spd, only option it was ordered with is a passenger front seat. When I brought it home it still had the factory dog dishes but I robbed them for my blazer before I thought to take pics!Name: CIMG4781.jpg
